Up Down

Update: This giveaway is now over. Stay tuned! Also, feel free to enter one of our currently running giveaways.

Update 2: The winner has been announced.

Here’s the weekly giveaway!

For this week’s giveaway, I thought I’d bring something more modern.

Of all the different spin offs out of Final Crisis, I found this book the most interesting. Following Japan’s Super Young Team, Final Crisis Aftermath: Dance collects 1-6 of their own miniseries.

It’s written by Joe Casey with art by Chriscross and Eduardo Pansica.

Most Excellent Superbat! Big Atomic Lantern Boy! Shiny Happy Auquazon! Shy Crazy Lolita Canary! Well-Spoken Sonic Lightning Flash!

It’s almost offensive, but having been to Japan and seen the t-shirts, I have to say that marketing would probably do pretty well over there.

The Rundown:

(1) Prize: One copy of Final Crisis Aftermath: Dance

(1) Random Comment Winner: One logged in commenter will be randomly selected from the replies to this post.

Eligibility: You must be registered and logged in when you comment to be eligible. You must also be in the continental USA for shipping purposes. If you are overseas and want to pay for the shipping yourself, feel free to enter, but keep in mind that it will probably be more expensive than just buying the book.

Deadline: You have until 11:59 on Friday, January 28th, 2011.

Good luck everyone!

Yea. I’m working on a SB Prime story so I need this and Legion of 3 Worlds.

I didn’t think he was in this one, though. Maybe I missed something.

I acutally thought this team was pretty interesting despite them only being in a few small scenes. Nice to see that they were able to get their own trade.

Yeah, I…really don’t have any idea of Final Crisis (although it stands on my shelf and cries “read me!”), but I leave a comment either way. So: comment – done.

well when you do read Final Crisis let us know what you think about it in the forums. I’m always curious about the opinions on that book.

Grant Morrison is exploring International charactors here. Now he is going forward with Batman inc..international too. A new theme???

Makes sense, really, consider he isn’t American (like many dc creators!) and media is really an international thing these days. By my stats, DC is popular all over the world – no reason the DCU should be so America centric.

This is the one Aftermath story I’m actually interested in and curious about. They had some interesting scenes in Final Crisis and I liked the concept.

Oh man, why am I commenting? I don’t want to have to collect all the aftermath stuff, too!

haha I understand your pain. I picked up a few marvel books a couple months ago in a random trade box on craigslists and half of them are event tie ins… and not to the same events!

Odd how some giveaways have an insane amount of people commenting and this has only about, what…10 different TRO members.

Ian replied on January 30th, 2011 at 8:51 am:

the holiday ones were promoted around the net a bit more.

Chris D. replied on January 30th, 2011 at 10:31 am:

Oh, that makes a lot more sense. I thought ever giveaway was promoted elsewhere.

Ian replied on January 30th, 2011 at 6:27 pm:

no, I haven’t really been doing that. I guess maybe I should be, but I don’t like to be so pushy about promotional stuff.

Chris D. replied on January 30th, 2011 at 6:41 pm:

Pushy about promotional stuff? Bro, that’s what make people think that TRO is the best around when they first visit it. It’s not like you’re asking them for money, you’re asking them to enter in for free stuff.

    [Reply]

Ian replied on January 30th, 2011 at 6:56 pm:

pushy about asking other blogs to link it. Don’t worry about it, when I have big ones I’ll ask to link, for now it’s mainly a way to give back to people already using the site.

Chris D. replied on January 30th, 2011 at 7:11 pm:

oh that makes a lot more sense when you put it that way. I didn’t know you had to solicit other sites to post a link. I’d feel the same too.

Ian replied on January 30th, 2011 at 8:23 pm:

yeah, it’s nice if they do it on their own, but it doesn’t happen often.
