Up Down

Here’s the last batch of Unplaced Book placements to the Reading Order for a while:

Gotham Central Book 1: In The Line of Duty

Gotham Central Book 2: Jokers and Madmen

Gotham Central Book 3: On The Freak Beat

Gotham Central Book 4: Corrigan (Not sure about the placement of this one due to the inclusion of some content from IC and 52 – any spoiler free thoughts?)

Starman Omnibus, Volume 1

Starman Omnibus, Volume 2

Starman Omnibus, Volume 3

Starman Omnibus, Volume 4

Starman Omnibus, Volume 5

Starman Omnibus, Volume 6 (This one will probably shift a little once the final solicit info is announced.)

The Death and Return of Superman Omnibus

Seven Soldiers of Victory Book 1 (Hardcover)

Seven Soldiers of Victory Book 2 (Hardcover)

Absolute Death

Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil (Deluxe Edition)

World’s Finest (Deluxe Edition)

Batwoman: Elegy (Deluxe Edition)

Camelot 3000

The only books left on Unplaced Books are upcoming releases or books I need more information on (feel free to offer advice on any of these!). Some I’ll just have to wait to read, some I’ll have to wait to see solicitation information on.

This is pretty awesome! There are now 1586 books on the DC Reading Order! Intense, dude.

The next project I’ll be tackling is folding in the relevant Vertigo books.

I’m a little upset to hear that the fourth Gotham Central book will have stuff from Infinite Crisis in 52. I was really hoping I would be able to read those books straight through without having to worry about where it fit in with anything else. I mean, I know that at least one of the main characters goes on to more explicit superheroics in 52, but surely there could have been some other way? Oh well.

Sadly, I don’t know too much about the remaining books on the Unplaced Books list…but there are so few left that I don’t think there’s much to worry about. Most appear to be upcoming books anyway. Awesome job on getting so many books into the reading order!

Thanks Marc. I think I needed a little pat on the back. I’d throw myself a party, but Beth is sleeping. ;)

It annoys me about Gotham Central as well… but I can’t really say whether it will actually be weird, or maybe just a couple pages that are a flashback? or a couple pages that just say “see also these titles” as well kind of thing. It seems like it wouldn’t make sense to include a bunch of either of those series.
