It’s an interesting one – an original story presented as an in-continuity investigation into the ruthless businessman Lex Luthor of the late 1980s.

Funny, I just read all about DC’s structuring of Luthor in the universe yesterday. The whole who’s better, the classic “Mad Scientist” Luthor or the 1980’s “Business Man” Luthor. I’m all about the Mad Scientist one because as it was pointed out, some have concern that the Business Luthor is too close to Kingpin from Marvel. Then again the Mad Scientist Luthor from the Superman Returns movie did NOT do it for me.

I grew up on the post Man Of Steel – Death & Return superman, so the businessman will always be the type I think about when I think Luthor. For a while, it was more familiar to me to see him with long red hair than thin and bald.

Yeah that’s where I started as well, but I think the random cartoons and Richard Donner films just had it ingrained that the man must be bald. He must! :-)

Lex Luthor? Awesome. Never read something about him (except a few “LexCorp” references in various other comics), and I think this particular book would be really interesting to read. I mean, look at the cover … somehow he reminds me of Oswald Cobblepot :D

Is it me, or is the Lex on the cover of this book a tad more heavy set than usual? Either way is fine with me, but I got so used to the Lex Luthor from the Justice League cartoons that this depiction seems a bit off. This would certainly be an interesting read. Good luck, everyone!

This is how he looked post Man Of Steel era reboot. This book is 100% in continuity and reflects him just as he was in the titles of the time. He eventually ended up thin again, after a brief stint with long red hair and a beard.

First off I want to say great blog! I had a quick question which
I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find
out how you center yourself and clear your
thoughts before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
