Now that I have gotten into the swing of reviewing titles I thought it would be a nice feature for users to be able to request reviews on books they have been looking at; obviously if there is a high volume of demand then not everything requested will be reviewed, but this topic will help solve my issue of what to review next.
I have a collection that includes many things not on this site yet so feel free to request anything and I'll do what I can. Although "My Collection" on my public profile is the best place to start with looking to ideas for requests.

That's a great idea and will hopefully allow more forum traffic. When looking at your list I thought maybe it was a wishlist and not a real list…man, that's a lot of trades! If all goes well this coming week I'll look at doing a review for Secret Six: Six Degrees if you're interested in doing Villans United to lead.

Well I'm not off until Wednesday so I won't be sitting down to it until the end of the week. Take your time :-) I hope that this too will soon be my favorite series.

Written and sent to Ian for post-production, so hopefully will be up for Wednesday.
I also realised that there is a tiny little Villains United story in Infinite Crisis companion set between our two reviews, along with I think a Birds of Prey trade.
I cannot be sure as I can't remember what the BOP title is called and it isn't tagged on here with Secret Six so can't determine position

It looks like it's
Villans United – Infinite Crisis Special: A Hero Dies but One
Does that ring a bell? I haven't read it. Is this companion worth picking up? I loved this entire series. Does it add anything to the arc?

Take your time with it, no real rush.
V.Utd was one I had planned to write before xmas and kept putting it off until you mentioned it.
After all I couldn't refuse the first request from someone on this topic.

The companion titles are bit hit and miss I find.
The IC one is good, it has 4 stories which act as epilogues to the 4 major tie-ins (rann, omac, villains and shadowpact). Nothing of major note but nice little conclusions. main thing is that the whole spectre thing is shown to be dealt with, as in the tie-in it starts to look better then ends unconcluded.
FC companion is good but acts literally as a companion to main FC; i.e. read both at same time to get best experience, where IC is all about the tie-ins.
52 companion is one to avoid unless you liek best of collections. It is features random one shots of the characters involved in 52, which I don't think add to the series as the series has enough depth already.
I'm not a big fan of these best of collections though, the only one I do like is the Black Casebook as it contains all the issues that contain the bizarre things brought back in RIP. Deff makes RIP easier to follow and enjoy.

Cool :D
Just looked at my shelves and decided at some point I will probably review Loveless as it can be put with the Westerns. my main issue is my US history is poor so exactly where to place it would be better for someone else to decide.

I'd probably just place it by date, unless it's obviously pre-civil war or something.

post-civil war, the main character is an ex-confederate soldier… think hex but because it's azzarello the bounty hunting is gone, replaced by revenge. the stories aren't short but are long weaving tales that are hard to follow at first; good fun.

Sorry, I meant publication date. Right now the westerns basically go from comics made in the 70s to comics published very recently.

Ah okay that'd be bit easier; I've recently put in a few vertigo titles in their places such as Barnum being after westerns and before SMT

if I try to read FC again I will likely do it with a companion since I really felt like it was full of holes when reading it the first time through. Like I was only reading every other page.
I wasn't going to pickup Black Casebook because I heard it was just a random collection of old Batman stories, but it sounds like it will actually enhance my enjoyment of the RIP arc. Thanks for the advice.

I think Morrison picked out the stories included in that one, so they should be a good intro to the "everything happened" mentality he has about Batman.

Yeah as odd as it may be to say everything is in continuity…especially considering some of the crazy golden age stuff…i actually respect him for trying to make it work. I haven't yet read it, but I hear it does work.
