I managed to fix the dropdown problem for "Edition"

It definitely has something to do with the actual items in the taxonomy. I think that the dropdown doesn't work if one of them contains nonstandard characters (like the arana "n" or that … problem we found with the titles.) I'll do my best to comb through the terms and see if I can find the ones that are breaking it, but it's going to be a lot harder for Creator and Marvel Character.

Let me know if you see any on the index lists that you think might be causing it to break.

Marvel had three blanks at the top, but it seems like there are other problems as well. I'll keep looking.

I realized (after I did a quick styling trick to show the numbers on that list) that there are 558 items there and 559 in the database. So the one that is messing it up is not on that list. I'm going through them one by one now to figure out what one is in the database that isn't put out in the index. That's probably the one messing it up. 

(and yeah there are a few typo problems too, but I'll get that later.)
