I will attempt something similar with the marvel reading order, starting with Thor: Son of Asgard
feel free to join in, I will be updating this at the beginning and end of each, any comments on a series or book are welcome, etc. etc.

Just updating to say that I'm still doing this, I just had some stuff to do and couldn't get to my computer, just started loki, and if you are wondering, yes I skipped the raven banner, anything I can't find, I will skip temporarily

Are you trying to just read Thor? What about the other books from the same timeline?
I am working my way through all the main continuity books, which is … slow. I mostly only have trades, so I have to refer here to find out what trade has what issue (if it exists in one of my trades).
I am working on putting all marvel comics in a reading order, I currently have it at http://cmro.travis-starnes.com

for now, because I do not want to read conan stuff (since not all of it is done by marvel), after all of this stuff gets out of the way, I am moving to this:

Found a torrent, huh? I can't imaging reading EVERY marvel book, not just the ones collected in trades.
