I've still not actually seen any of these or the Vertigo Resurrected books out there. I feel like we might have discussed them once before, but I don't remember what the verdict was.
Three things:
1. Do they have advertising?
2. Are they squarebound/bookshelf format?
3. Should we include them in our database (IE, are they more like trade collections or more like "floppies")
What do you guys think?

I have one at home that is a reprinting of GL Fear Itself. Im not sure of the adds, I can check when I get back. They kind of remind me of prestige format with lower grade covers. Ill get back to you on the adds.
I think you might want to include them, but maybe they are like floppies.
Helpful right?

yeah, just let me know when you get home.
I generally try not to include stuff where ads interrupt the content (though even paperbacks tend to have a page or two in the back these days, but at least it's usually for just more comics).
If it's a high quality cover and binding, though, IE, a book made for an archivist, even if it has some ads I might include. Or low quality and no ads (like some of the prestige books/ "graphic novels" released in the 80s and 90s.)

So after checking their were a few adds and a couple of previews in the back. I dont know if anyone else has an opinion. I think you could go either way. I wouldn't say the binding is anything special either.

the adds were in the middle of stories, or between them? Can you take a picture of the binding or describe it more in detail? haha, I suppose I should just order one but money is really that tight.
I'm tempted to add them in, since it seems they collect a lot of content that isn't available elsewhere. :-/

They're not squarebound or anything, just standard floppy issues without ISBNs. I really wish that DC would just bump up the price on these by two or three dollars and publish them as cheap trades, so they actually stay in print. Reprinting these stories in a standard comic book issue that'll be gone from circulation in a month's time is really defeating the point of collecting the material in the first place, in my opinion.

damn, that's so annoying. Not squarebound at all? ah well. I guess it's less work for me, but I'd love to have some of that content in a bookshelf format.

True. Oh well I am sure at times we have all thought if I was in charge of DC…….
I feel like that could be a fun thread
