Just a post for some simple numbers to keep track of my own progress.
As of this post, currently at 173 books ready to upload of about 3000.

Past 5am. Bedtime. 331 books complete. 5 hours in today and 5 hours yesterday (discounting constant distractions), so an average of 33 books an hour.
Not bad, not great either. I expect I'm on schedule though, considering these are work days and the second half of the month will allow me a lot more time to work.
Even staying on this schedule, I'd be able to get around 5280 books done this month – so the 3000 shouldn't be a problem. Just gotta keep it up!

I spend 40+ hours a week minimum on the site generally. It will be about 80 once I get out of the job, until things are in good enough shape to bring the hours down to something reasonable (or unless actual money making freelance stuff gets in the way haha)

80 hours isn't so bad if includes forum time and if you enjoy doing it, otherwise 80 is a long time

I can watch tv while I do the database (bab5 these last couple nights) so it's pretty enjoyable. and I learn and figure things out. I obviously like sorting comic books :D
Writing reviews is great.
80 hours is nothing when I feel like I'm doing something good. This project is the first thing I've been able to sustain this kind of breakneck motivation on for this long. I can usually do it until I finish a project, but the thought of this project never finishing is actually really enjoyable!

I listen to podcasts while working on my blog (not while writing reviews though). I've already done almost everything I can do at this point for my timeline that requires actual thought, so it's a good way to multitask.

3:30 am, with many distractions: Currently at 560 finished books. Stopping the clock now cause I've been messing with programming stuff for who knows how long and I realized that the few seconds became a new project. Might getback to books tonight.
Running the numbers (keep in mind, most of these already had some work on them and only take a minute to finish):
Hours:13.5
Books: 560
Books per hour: 41ish
On target? Yes!

Thanks David! I'll be at it again tonight. Off to work for another 8 hour chunk of mostly wasted time.
Only one more week! :D

Day job has been exhausting, so missed a couple nights.
Clocking in for 11:00pm, with 560 books already done as of last post.

hard to say – all 3000 books have amazon links, isbn numbers, and about 70% have contents and dates. I'm mainly finishing up giving each book one or two creator tags and making sure the "end date" field has info in the 1993.12 format so the chronological listing will work. About 1/6th is completely done, but this last phase is going quickly.
On schedule for being up by the end of February.

Oh, I'm also adding in CBDB lists whenever it's easy to do so (mainly for books in a series.) Eventually I'd like to have every book have them, but I'm more concerned with getting it up and sorted right now.

Thanks an incredible amount of stuff that you're doing for the list. It amazing that you will be done around the end of February. Will you feel like lost soul without purpose after you're done? ;)
