I know this number might pale in comparison to some of you, but having only jumped into trade collecting in the last two years or so, I'm really pleased by my progress. For the record, I have 200 books total, including Star Wars and non-DCU/Vertigo titles.

If you're at all interested in how I choose what books to buy, read on. If not, jump to the end of my post; I have a question for everyone. :)

I've been selective as to what I will buy, but it has definitely branched out a bit:

Animal Man – I will buy anything with this character. Period.

Batman – I started with just anything Batman, but now I'm trying to focus on the Grant Morrison run, but Streets of Gotham might get me hooked because of the Hush storyline. This means I'll branch into the Red Robin series, but only because I'm fond of the Tim Drake character.

Booster Gold & Blue Beetle – I jumped into Booster Gold only because I loved 52. I love this series. No, seriously. If you like time travel at all, check it out. I included Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) here because he has some features in Booster's run. Also, with Justice League: Generation Lost coming out soon, I figured I looks like I need some background on the character.

Green Lantern – I'm sticking to post-Rebirth only; that alone accounts for just about one-fourth of my collection. At first I was going to stick to just the actual Green Lantern books, but the Sinestro Corps War and then the thought of Blackest Night made me get into Green Lantern Corps. At that point I thought, go big or go home; I picked up Ion: Guardian of the Universe and am excited for Emerald Warriors to come out in August.

Wonder Woman – I did the post-Infinite Crisis run, but I jumped ship once Gail Simone's storyline ran its course; I have yet to read anything with the new Wonder Woman, and frankly, the concept makes me nervous.

Superman - I'm actually really selective with the Boy Scout; I try to buy books that portray him in a slightly different light than the regular old heavy-hitting do-gooder.

As for writers, it's a safe bet I'll be interested if it's Grant Morrison or Geoff Johns.

If you've followed me so far, thanks. If not, that's okay, too. Now for the question: If you could pick only three of books that you already own to get autographed by a specific writer or artist, which books and what writers/artists would you choose and why?

And please don't go for the "OMG, that would make it worth so much money!!" reason; that's too easy. :P

I think I would go for the following:

• Geoff Johns - Blackest Night (writer)

• Grant Morrison – We3 (writer)

• Brian K. Vaughan – Pride of Baghdad (writer)

Honorable Mentions (I know, I cheated!):

• Darwyn Cooke – DC: The New Frontier, Volume 2 (at the end of the epilogue) (writer/artist)

• Niko Henrichon – Pride of Baghdad (artist)

For me, it's gotta be:

• Stan Lee – The Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus (writer)

• Brian Bendis – Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1: Power & Responsibility

• J. Michael Straczynski – Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1: Coming Home

Very Spidey-centric picks there, but those are the three books that have most influenced my love of comics so it only makes sense. My honorable mentions would have to be the artists on all of those books: Steve Ditko, Mark Bagley, and John Romita Jr., respectively.

Congrats on expanding the collection. I am always torn between working on my comic collection or just going for trades. My three would have to be

Jeff Smith- Bone one volume edition ( writer and artist)

Tim Sale- Batman the Long Halloween (artist)

Chris Claremont- The Uncanny X-men Omnibus vol 1 (writer)

Honorable mentions(I have to cheat a bit too)

Nike Henrichon and BKV on Pride of Baghdad (I am so greedy)

Stan Sakai- Usagi Yojimbo Special Collection (artist and writer)

For a self proclaimed green lantern addict I don't really have any GL titles on here, but such is life. Great question, I ask this a lot.

Could I say Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and Todd Klein all on Saga of the Swamp Thing?

I could go for some kirby autographs too though. I've never really sought out any, but I'm sad I didn't get a chance to meet McDuffy in person, since I've always been such a fan of the Milestone work.
