you know, if you've been putting in carriage returns (enter) I think you might be able to paste the whole thing into excel and it will automatically put each line in a new cell and it could count it that way?

Haha, this is great, another person crazy enough to collect all of the DC trades! :) Well I don't have all of the archives, showcases or prestige editions but I know I have over 1000 books in my collection. I have read 450 so far with more arriving every month, it's fun tryin to keep up. Wow, what an endeavor you have acheived here, I am sure I will discover books I don't have yet. Thanks!

Awesome! I was reasonably sure that I wasn’t the only one out there, but I’m also pretty sure there are only a handful of us. It’s a pretty daunting task!
Just showcase books is almost a whole bookshelf, by the way, so if you ever decide to add those to your collection make sure you have room! They’re not that expensive to collect, but they take up a healthy amount of space.
I was doing ok, reading 4 or 5 books a day, but then I started making this website and now I’m INSANELY behind, haha. That’s ok though, once I’ve got the site going, the most important orders up, and am just doing reviews and fleshing out the content – I’ll be back to reading a lot again. And it’s given me time to fill in my pre-crisis gaps so I can really start from the beginning!
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have finished the public user pages and we’ll be able to share our collection lists! :D
PS. Welcome! If you’re anywhere near as obsessive as I am, I’m sure you’ll be an extremely valuable addition to the site! :)

Blimey, this makes my 65 odd Batman TPB's look rather silly!!
I've got other books as well, such as The Walking Dead, Wathcmen and V for Vendetta.
Well done though Ian. Kudos to you to Tightsand capes!

Looks like you've got a pretty enjoyable little reading list there, though.
This list count is a little behind for me, too. I'll admit, even my current online collection is a little behind!

Slowly….very slowly working my way up from Crisis on Infinite Earths into Modern Age. However, I'm practically caught up in the trades of Ultimate Marvel and Buffy/Angel. It's a small achievement, but one I'm still proud of.

Not bad at all. I need to sit down and read all of Ex Machina at some point, now that I've got all of it. That's one I've been waiting to get a complete stack of for a long time.

I've got 93 DC books, but as of right now, I'm only adding the main DCU books (including Morrison's Animal Man run, not including Watchmen), or book of the superhero genre.
In addition, I have:
• 32 Vertigo titles
• 2 Wildstorm titles
• 2 Marvel titles
• 2 Dark Horse titles
• 58 Star Wars titles
As of right now, I'm going to stick to using this site more for the reading order aspect of the DCU than cataloguing my titles; I use Delicious Library for that. :)

very cool. You can, of course, use it in any way you want :D
Like, I put all my marvel books also under testy so I have a list of just those if I want.
I don't have a problem with people creating a second account to keep a wishlist or something. Eventually I hope to be able to let people add books to multiple lists under one account, but that's too complicated for me to do on my own.

Yeah, eventually I think it would be useful for me to have a separate list where I could add everything I've read, rather than just the trades I own, since I've gotten a lot of stuff from the library over the years and own a couple thousand single issues that've been collected, but I haven't double-dipped and gotten the trades. For now, maybe I'll just do that with an alt account.

Is The Flash Vol. 1: The Dastardly Death Of The Rogues available to add to my collection? I searched and there's a blog update saying it's been added. I am sad that my DC count is inaccurate. :(

looks like it's still in unplaced books. You can add it to your collection, but it will probably just be at the end of the list until properly placed.

Sweet! Thanks, Ian! Now at least my numbers match, and that's my main concern at the moment; once the whole Brightest Day series and its tie-ins are released, that's when I'll need the reading order, but that won't be for a while yet. :)

yeah, we're going to hit the ultimate marvel section soon, when the big two lists are getting to a good spot. I'd like to get the dc one caught up and the marvel covers up first, but then I can take a little to work on that one.
