I decided to go roughly chronological by event for this stuff on the recommended reading order (whereas the “chronological” reading list will refer to release date of the collected contents). That means the first few sets will be The Viking Prince, Westerns, Doc Savage, and Sandman Mystery Theatre.
Here’s the first batch of reading order updates:
Viking Glory: The Viking Prince
Showcase Presents: Jonah Hex Vol. 1
Jonah Hex: Welcome To Paradise
Showcase Presents: Jonah Hex Vol. 2 (Here’s hoping this book actually does come out soon – maybe because of the movie? some people have been waiting since Christmas 2007 for this one.)
Showcase Presents: Bat Lash
Next update will start on the Post-Crisis Western books.

I updated the “Best-Of” Style Collection series. I tried to tag all the books that collect non-sequential issues around some certain theme, creator, or character. They should be all on that list, though it’s possible I missed one or two.
It’s 56 books total, right now. Check it out!

I’ve got all the unplaced books put into reading order in my offline file! That means tomorrow I’ll be able to start moving them in online.
Out of 1525 books, only 5 will remain unplaced, because I have to read them to figure out where they go.
Those ones are Superman: Secret Origin, Batman International, Batman: Dead to Rights, Batman: The Bat And The Beast, and Madame Xanadu Vol. 3. They just take place someplace way earlier in continuity than when they were released, so I’ll have to figure them out when they arrive.
Now, to the sleepmobile!

I found a few more books to add to the database.
The Greatest Golden Age Stories Ever Told
The Greatest Flash Stories Ever Told
The Greatest 1950s Stories Ever Told
It’s worth noting that The Greatest Flash Stories Ever Told is a different collection than The Flash: Greatest Stories Ever Told. There are a few examples like that. The second series is more recent and runs well through modern times, the first one came out mostly in the 90s and tends to stop around the 80s in terms of its contents.
Most people are probably familiar with the second series, since those books all had a nice unified design and Alex Ross covers. I’ve included both sets in the Greatest Stories Ever Told list, of course.

So I’ve added the couple oddball Fables books, as well as the upcoming volumes.
Fables: Covers By James Jean
Peter And Max: A Fables Novel
Jack Of Fables Vol. 7: The New Adventures of Jack And Jack
Fables Vol. 14: Witches
Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love
Fables: Werewolves Of The Heartland
I think that in addition to this there will soon be a Jack of Fables Vol. 8, probably named Kings of Earth and Sky after the current arc.
It hasn’t been solicited yet, though, as far as I can tell, so I’ll wait on that to put it online.
So that completes the Fables section! It’s all I can do until these books start coming out or there are any more solicitations.
