The header is up and side nav gone! The header includes the claim of being the most extensive reading order… it is as far as I know, though if I’m proved wrong I’ll happily change that.

Right under the header is a line that includes a counter of how many books are entered in the database. It says “more than” because some of the lines are technically for multiple books (like “prestige 1-4” or books that are sometimes sold as two volumes and sometimes sold as one omnibus or complete edition.)

I’ve also separated the “About” section in the sidebar into four parts: About, How To Use This Website, Feedback, and Links.

Not sure when exactly I did this, but I also added “Showcase Presents” and “Greatest Stories Ever Told” as tags, since they were requested.

I added a bunch more covers on my lunch break and after work. I’m currently working on removing the old side nav leftover from my personal site layout and designing a title header for this site, so bear with me if it looks horrible for a couple hours!

Made the cover thumbnails for each title also link to the title’s individual page, like the title. I want(ed) it to link to a thickbox of the larger cover jpg, but I haven’t figured out a way to get that to work yet.

Added more covers and links. I’m going down the tag list and trying to do the smaller titles first so there’s a good mix and all the covers aren’t just at the start for now.

Single posts are now formatted correctly, with an added line for tags so you can see what’s already been tagged on that book. Comments should work, so feel free to leave suggestions!

Fixed a WpAutoP remove problem where it was applying to all pages and not just the front page, making everything look all jumbly.

Created an About page to hold the About text with a comment field. Formatted pages slightly different than standard book posts (no publication dates, etc).

Added a few more covers and tags.

The entire timeline has been entered and the site is live, with only some minor errors to be corrected (dates not showing for some posts, spelling errors or title redundancy, etc. It had some trouble importing perfectly from my excel file).

I’ve just got the site up and there are still a lot of basic design aspects that are not fully functional. The thumbnails will be clickable to show a thickbox’d cover in a larger size. The review links (which may be changed to say “more information” or something like that) will drop down a section with more information and comments instead of linking to a separate page.

About a billion tags need to be added. I made sure each book has at least one tag, but other main characters and tie in events need to be added, etc.

A banner/title header is needed for the top of the site.

Once a certain level of functionality and database completeness has been achieved, the site will be moving to its own domain from my personal site.

I also plan to add in a “news/updates” category that will post to the sidebar so you can subscribe to posts about new entries.

Edit: This post was originally dated to April 11th, but since it’s the first post that was made to the site (actually it originally appeared as part of an updates page with a bunch of other manually dated posts) I decided to move it to when I first have a record of any visits on the site – April 10th, 2010. That may have just been the time the google analytics code went live, but since I don’t remember, lets call it TRO’s birthday!
