While reading through the Jonah Hex books, I noticed that there is no number on the spine or in the interior publication info. So I’ve removed the “Vol. #” from the books in the timeline, so as not to confuse any data or links generated from those titles.

Of course, there is a possibility that this will upset some previous links, so let me know if you see any bad direction. I fixed a couple, but I probably missed some.

Just poking y’all to remind you that the giveaway for the Batman: Scarecrow Tales ends tonight – so get those comments in by 11:59 pm!

I’ve done a few updates – changed the formatting of the share links on the reading lists to be a little less intrusive (what do you guys think of these, by the way? I tend to prefer sleek uncrowded design, but it seems that links like these are the reality of the net these days.)

I also finished a bunch of sandman books, but still have a bunch left to do. I’ve been concentrating on the reviews – though now that we’re into heavy Jonah Hex territory I’ve got to mix it up a bit. I’ll try adding in a marvel book tonight.

After seeing some feedback about the multi-use share button (which I still like, since there’s no way I’m putting in individual buttons for every crazy service people use out there.) I decided to take some time to put in a little share box containing some of the most common tools.

This box won’t show up on the home page or blog archive view, but if you want to use it just head to any individual blog page or (and this was a bit harder to do) reading order page! So you can now easily share or bookmark any reading order, character, to creator, or series.

Blog posts have also gotten the larger badge style buttons at the bottom. It frustrates me that they don’t all quite line up vertically, but at least they’re not too intrusive in terms of contrast and color scheme.

My personal favorites here are Reddit (for the community and discussion) and Stumbleupon (for the novelty), but I admit that I use everything here. Facebook and Twitter are more timewasters than anything else and I try to avoid them (often failing), and Delicious is more of a personal thing than a sharing thing. Digg I honestly don’t have much experience with, but apparently a lot of people use it, so in it goes.

Anyway, hope this is useful to you.

Along with this update I tweaked some minor design errors and moved the next and previous post links to the bottom of the post from the top. I feel like the top is more widely used, but it felt like there was too much in between the title of the post and the content. Since there wasn’t really anywhere else for the byline and the date, I just decided to move that little strip of links to the bottom – so if you’re confused about where it went, just scroll down.

I’ve done some other book database updates, but I’m working down a list so I’ll just save the details for my next update post when I’m done with that set of books.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful thanksgiving!

I’ll be posting a few more times today I’m sure – it’s just me and the cats, since I couldn’t afford to go back home or along with Beth’s family.

No tears, dear readers. I’ll have a happy productive day off from my day job!

Plus, I love my cats and I’m sure Beth will give me a call. :D

I’ve updated all 8 Sandman Mystery Theatre books, added a header and description for Sandman Wesley Dodds.

I’ve also updated the description for the all purpose “Sandman” tag, which already had a header image I made from a picture of Dodds and Dream.

I’ve created a “The Endless” tag to be used to indicate any member of that pantheon. Dream and The Endless now both have header pictures.

Most of these tag lists are in no way complete right now, but they’ll fill in. I’ve tagged Dream and The Endless on all the Neil Gaiman ongoing collections, at least.

I uploaded a picture for Neil Gaiman‘s header, which makes him the first creator with a picture up! Creator lists are a long way from being done (once enough books are fully tagged and hit up with the chronological sorting info, the creator lists will be chronological by collected contents, instead of by the recommended reading order as they are now.)

Perhaps those sandman books will be my next update. I’ll see how much I can get into tonight. (decided to save the next Jonah Hex review for sometime tomorrow.. although I guess it’s this morning now!)

Totally unrelated image, but I liked it.

I think I’m going to pull in another review tonight for the next Jonah Hex book, since it shouldn’t require too much additional reading or deliberation – being mostly material already in the showcase I just reviewed.

So just doing a few quick updates.

The Batman: The Return reading order has had a couple other issues added, mainly the post Batman Inc tie ins.

Thanks to the advice of my pals on Reddit, I’ve added Hellblazer: Fear and Loathing to the Swamp Thing tag list, with cover and full publication information complete. Not sure how I missed that one – can’t wait until I find the time to finish the whole Hellblazer list. Obviously I’ve got a soft spot for these vertigo titles.

I also noticed that there were two tags for one character – “The Phantom Stranger” and “Phantom Stranger” – I haven’t decided what I like better, but I’ve changed all the books to just have “Phantom Stranger” for now since more were tagged with that one making it an easier switch – we can change them all to either at a later date.
