Up Down

Congratulations to Henraldo (Henry from Las Vegas, NV) who is the winner from the Thunderbolts: Justice Like Lightning giveaway! Henry, your book will be in the mail on monday.

For the rest of you, hope for better luck in our current Superman Chronicles drawing!

I’ve added Beasts of Burden: Animal Rites and Marvel: Powerless to the database, to coincide with the previous and upcoming reviews.

I fixed the image outline bug on the forums, so the little jpg buttons should be displaying correctly now.

I also fixed a bug with the feed, so you should no longer be bombarded by books being added to the database in your feedreader or emails – it should just be blog posts!

I’m concentrating the rest of my TRO time on my day off today on the Marvel list, which I have to admit will probably take me a couple more months to finish at this rate. I think it’s worth it to have daily reviews, but if some of you want to help lighten the load there by submitting some, I’ll put whatever time I save into working on that Marvel reading list.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Satruday!

Congrats to Henraldo! Enjoy that book.

Ian, I have plans to do some reviews just as soon as I catch up a little bit more on Batman. I’m about to dig into Batman 696 through 699. But on my plate are the following books (not calling dibs on them or anything!):

    Jonah Hex Welcome To Paradise
    Jonah Hex Two Gun Mojo
    El Diablo
    Jonah Hex Guns of Vengeance
    Jonah Hex Origins
Jonah Hex Only the Good Die Young
    Jonah Hex Luck Runs Out
    Bat Lash Guns & Roses
    Jonah Hex Bullets Don’t Lie
    Jonah Hex Lead Poisoning
Jonah Hex The Six Gun War
    Jonah Hex Counting Corpses
    Jonah Hex No Way Back
Doc Savage The Man of Bronze
Sandman Mystery Theatre Vol 1 The Tarantula
Sandman Mystery Theatre Vol 2 The Face and the Brute

I have others to read, but that’s my attempt at reading through the DC list. I should be able to get one in tomorrow, although there’s football to watch. :) Anyway, just letting you know I hope to help out some and improve my review skills so you can concentrate on the Marvel side of things. Just hope I can find the time and I hope I pass your editorial critique! haha.

Awesome, haha of course you don’t need to worry about too harsh a critique, We’ll work together on it. Thankfully, I think I have all of those books so scans to go along with any review should be no problem. Don’t worry about doing all of them right away, either, I don’t want to have too much of one character in a row (which is what has been keeping me from hitting the second Tor archive, even though I’m really curious.)

But I’m excited to hear what you think about El Diablo, Doc Savage, and Sandman Mystery Theatre. They’re all coming up on my reading list too, since I’m starting around the same place – whenever I find time, that is.

Ok, so what I hope to accomplish is reading a few books and then getting into El Diablo, for which I will attempt a review. We’ll take it from there. Cool beans.

Sounds like a great plan to me. Believe me, it’s no fun reading every book for a review (fun sometimes, but you don’t want comics to become work!)
