I start the Golden Age at the introduction of Superman, the birth of superheroes and the birth of a universe. The Golden Age saw many landmarks, such as the first super-team, the Justice Society of America. The end of the Golden Age is a little fuzzy, but probably around the early 50′s with the rise of horror comics and subsequent institution of the Comics Code. Since we don’t deal with the interim much, I end the Golden Age at the start of the Silver Age around the mid-50′s.
