I added TPB Publisher and Publication Dates custom fields. They have also been added to the single book page template, so they will show up on any book with that information entered.
Eventually all of them.

A lot of the new theme functions are now working properly, making it much easier for me to find, edit, tag, and categorize posts. Not a huge amount of visible improvements on the user end, but I did add a lot of tags and categories while testing, so there is some increased value from the last few hours.
I also made a list of upcoming (hopefully) features:

New domain! Though you probably have noticed this if you are reading this message… but the site is now proudly available at www.tradereadingorder.com!
If you haven’t noticed, the name is pretty general and hints at non-dc usages in the pipeline.
I’m going to continue tweaking the theme, functions, and plugins and I’m hoping in the next few days I will be basically done with architecture and can focus on content. Everything important to organize your books along the basic reading order is already in, but I need to add a lot more content before the other reading orders will start to work. Plus content makes everything look full, pretty, and satisfying. That means next week I’ll be focused on covers, tags, and info!

Did a bunch of work in the backend to make my life easier (my wp admin search now works on the meta data (all my custom stuff) instead of just wimpily on the title and stuff… so I can batch edit posts quicker.) Then to test that out I tagged all the vertigo universe books currently in site (I have more, all the universe relevant ones, anyway, all ready to be uploaded. I’ll do that after I’ve got it so they don’t display in the main DC timeline… only a few of them belong there. After they break off, they sort of have their own playground, though there are sometimes cameos both ways. I included important mainstream dc imprint releases in that vertigo page.
Likewise, organized the couple wildstorm books.

Added custom taxonomies for “Creator” (example: Jack Kirby) and “Series” (Example: “Greatest Stories Ever Told“). Tags are now used for Characters (Example: “Superman” or “Deadman“) and Categories for Lists (Example: “Post-Crisis“).
Although books have been categorized into the Split Crisis Reading Order and Chronological lists, the custom formatting that will allow those reading orders to work is not implemented yet, so for now they will still show in the recommended reading order.
Decided to eat a bowl of cereal.
