Up Down

In order to add in more custom layouts (instead of just two) I had to switch the comic book collected edition layout to display for items in the category “Comics” – meaning that any book which are not yet categorized into that major category instead of just their sub categories are not displaying – in fact, the whole page for those books is not displaying!

I’m going as fast as I can through all of them, but I can only do 20 at a time, and the poor shared server has a tendency to crash/run out of memory when doing that.. so it takes a bit to get through. I’ve got everything but DC done so far, and about 1600 books to go.

Stay tuned for update!

(random note – I was getting myself through this tedium by telling myself that I was biding the time while an ebay auction counted down, and then while writing this little update post I missed it, after waiting 4 hours. I was outbid, but could have bid myself up 50 cents more and gotten in. rargh! Frustrating night/morning.)

Update: 900 fixed so far (9:30 am)

FIXED 10:29 AM

So I decided to tweak the essay category layout a bit, since they seem like they’ll be getting more long term traffic and they should look nice and pretty and less like blog posts. Basically, I minimized the text header since each one will have a graphic title.

Then I added this little graphic title for the little Why I Love The DC Universe essay (Just realized that was a funny little acronym.)

I’m not totally sure about the sub/pre title, but it felt like it needed something up there (and that’s what I was calling it when I posted it over at my personal blog.)

I’m only half awake, so I’m not gonna do it right now, but my plan is to rework a couple of the paragraphs in the Crisis for Infinite Nerds piece, cause they’re a little misleading or awkward when it comes to bronze age chronology and the influence/order of miniseries development.

And here are the last of the Archives!

Bronze Age Stuff:

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 9

The Black Canary Archives Vol. 1 (this one spans the Golden Age to Bronze Age, but based on our policy of placing stuff by it’s latest collected content, it goes here)

Kamandi Archives Vol. 1

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 10

Kamandi Archives Vol. 2

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 11

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 12

The Action Heroes Archives Vol. 2

The New Teen Titans Archives Vol. 1

The New Teen Titans Archives Vol. 2

The New Teen Titans Archives Vol. 3

The New Teen Titans Archives Vol. 4

And these War Stories are mostly placed around WWII where the bulk of the content happens – at the start or the end of the war depends on the events in the book:

The Blackhawk Archives Vol. 1

The Enemy Ace Archives Vol. 1

The Enemy Ace Archives Vol. 2

The Sgt. Rock Archives Vol. 1

The Sgt. Rock Archives Vol. 2

The Sgt. Rock Archives Vol. 3

I think that’s it for the Archives! Let me know if you think I missed any, though.

Up next we’ve got all the DC Animated books. I’m gonna take a break for dinner and to leave my cave to say hi to my housemates for a minute.

This is a fanmade image, but I couldn’t resist! How cool would it be if they had actually cast and shot a Legion Of Superheroes movie or show when it was running its strongest? The chances of any Legion movie happening now is pretty slim, but if they did it, it would be pretty awesome if instead of going for a modern update, they made it super-retro and stylized.

I’d be crossing my fingers for the direct to video Substitute Heroes offshoot. ;)

Here’s the next set of Silver Age Archives placed on the RRO:

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 1

The Atom Archives Vol. 1

The Green Lantern Archives Vol. 3

Justice League Of America Archives Vol. 3

The Flash Archives Vol. 5

The Metal Men Archives Vol. 1

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 2

The Hawkman Archives Vol. 1

The Brave And The Bold Team-Up Archives Vol. 1

The Green Lantern Archives Vol. 4

The Atom Archives Vol. 2

The Doom Patrol Archives Vol. 1 – Great review of this book over at With Great Power!

Justice League Of America Archives Vol. 4

Batman: The Dynamic Duo Archives Vol. 1

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 3

Batman: The Dynamic Duo Archives Vol. 2

The Hawkman Archives Vol. 2

The Green Lantern Archives Vol. 5

The Doom Patrol Archives Vol. 2

Justice League Of America Archives Vol. 5

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 4

The Doom Patrol Archives Vol. 3

The Action Heroes Archives Vol. 1

The Green Lantern Archives Vol. 6

Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Vol. 5

Hey, less than one page worth of Silver Age and Bronze Age Archives left – I might be able to be done with placing the Archives by the end of the day! Sweet!
